Carlos (Charles Joseph) Duperly, the son of Blanca Angueyra and Ernesto Vivian Duperly, was born on Dec 11, 1908, in Colombia. He grew up in Larchmont, NY and graduated from Mamaroneck High School and New York University before marrying June Harvey [1911-1984] with whom he had two children, Charles and Richard duperly.
Carlos was associated with Mace International Corporation for many years establishing new markets in such countries as Kuwait, Chad, and Saudi Arabia and helping governments set up school and hospital systems in Africa, Latin America, and Europe. He was chairman of the board of Mace until 1973, when ill health forced him to retire. After his retirement, Carlos worked in sales and public relations for Sanitor Building Service and served as senior warden at St. Johns Episcopal Church in New Rochelle and was a director of El Centro Espanol, a project of the Episcopal Church. He died on March 15, 1981, in New Rochelle, NY.
